How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself.

Set your checks up once. After that the due-list builds itself, and anything missed comes back to you without anyone having to remember.

01

Set up your checks

Walk-in temp, freezer temp, cook temps, cleaning checklists — set the frequency once and leave it.

02

Staff log from any tablet

Under 30 seconds per check. Out-of-range readings prompt a corrective action note on the spot — nothing saves without one.

03

Print it when the inspector arrives

Pick a date range and hand over a finished record — every reading, every target, every name and time. Print it, or save it as a PDF.

What's included

Everything the clipboard did. Nothing it couldn't.

One flat price covers all of it — no modules, no add-ons, no upgrade path you have to keep buying your way along.

Multi-location, if you need it

One restaurant, any number of locations. Checks and staff can be scoped per-location or left open — most restaurants only need one, and that's fine too.

Real roles, not just logins

Owners see everything. Managers get oversight for their own location. Staff log checks — nothing more, nothing they don't need.

Two-stage cooling, timed for you

135°F to 70°F in two hours, then to 41°F within six — the FDA Food Code rule most kitchens fail. Start the log when it comes off the heat and ComplyMenu counts down to each checkpoint.

Check deliveries at the door

Temperature at receipt, judged against the actual rule — the moment a problem is still the supplier’s and not yours. Rejected loads are recorded with the reason attached.

Spots a cooler failing before it fails

A walk-in that passes every day while climbing a degree a fortnight is invisible on any checklist. ComplyMenu reads the trend in readings you already take and warns you while it is still a repair.

Works in the walk-in, signal or not

Cold rooms are wifi dead zones. Checks are saved on the tablet and send themselves when you are back in range — and can never be recorded twice, however many times the connection drops.

In the language your kitchen speaks

English, French, Spanish and Punjabi — each person picks their own, so one kitchen can run in two languages at once. The person holding the thermometer is the one who has to read the screen.

Certification tracking

Food-handler certifications per staff member, with certificate numbers, attached scans, and automatic expiring-soon flags.

Export any time, not just at renewal

A full, timestamped CSV of your check history whenever you want it — not locked behind a support ticket or an annual report.

Automatic overdue reminders

If a check gets missed, owners and managers get an email — once a day, not every hour, and only about what's actually theirs to fix.

°F or °C, per check

Set the unit that matches your thermometer for each check — no forced conversions, no rounding, no arguing with the software.

The part nobody enjoys

An inspector doesn't want to hear that you did the check.

They want to see it — with a time on it, and a name against it. ComplyMenu keeps that record whether or not anyone remembered to keep it.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do I need to install anything or buy hardware?

No. It runs in any browser — phone, tablet, or desktop. You still read the thermometer yourself and type in the number; there's no sensor integration in the current version.

What if I have more than one location?

Fully supported. Add as many locations as you have, and checks, staff, and reporting all work per-location or across all of them, your choice.

Will my staff need training?

Most people log their first check in under 30 seconds without being shown anything. Big tap targets, one check at a time, no menus to dig through.

What happens if a reading is out of range?

You get told immediately, on the spot, and you can't save the check without writing down what you did about it. No out-of-range reading disappears silently.

What do I actually hand an inspector?

A printed record. Inspection Mode takes a date range and builds a sheet showing every check logged in it — the reading, the target it had to hit, whether it passed, who logged it, when, and the corrective action on anything out of range. Print it or save it as a PDF. Anyone on your team can produce it, not just the owner.

Can I get my data out if I ever need to?

Yes — a full CSV export of your check history is one click away, any time, not just when you're leaving.

Is there a contract?

No. It's a flat monthly fee per location — no per-employee charges, no setup fee, no lock-in.
